The Partnership Opportunity

The Alliance has benchmarked other regional economic organizations
in Missouri and other states to come up with a fair and equitable,
tax deductible opportunity for supporting the regional
economic development concept.

SMEDA Regional Business Council is open to any and all private sector entities who conduct business in the region and are interested in future growth.   Investments in the SMEDA effort allow for representation on the SMEDA Regional Business Council, which will meet on a quarterly basis to discuss economic issues and make recommendations on ways to improve economic growth in the six-county region.   The Alliance recommends that regional business partners continue funding local chamber of commerce economic development efforts. The SMEDA approach is to enhance what is happening at the local level.   The financial commitment from the private sector is for three years, enabling the Alliance to develop the momentum needed to establish itself as a successful organization.
